Mark Legg

Managing Director

Mark Legg is the esteemed co-founder and managing director of CDM Contractors Group Ltd.

With a deep-rooted commitment to excellence, Mark co-established the company in 2008 alongside his wife, Chloe Legg.

Their joint leadership has fostered a thriving family-run business, upholding a legacy of quality and dedication.

Beyond his professional endeavours, Mark is a devoted family man, sharing the joys of parenthood with Chloe and their four beloved children.

Known for their philanthropic spirit, Mark and Chloe actively engage in endurance challenges, channelling their passion for fitness towards charitable endeavours, consistently making a significant impact in the community.

Jackie Legg

Finance Director & HR

Jackie has been with CDM from the start, working hand in hand with Mark, from a small start up company to the multi-million pound group it is today.

Since 2008, Jackie has introduced financial controls that have allowed CDM to grow year on year, this is due to her attention to detail with numbers, her hard work and dedication to ensure every penny is accounted for.

Jackie, a qualified book keeper oversees the accounts department and successfully leads her team of account clerks and office administrators.

Outside the office, Jackie enjoys to go on walks, spending time with family including her 5 children and 13 grandchildren, she’s also partial to a handbag or two!

Kyle Legg MCIOB

Contracts Director

Kyle joined CDM in 2008 as a painting apprentice, and then in 2015 he finally put down the brush and picked up the pen.

Since 2015, Kyle has grown from a trainee contracts manager to the group contracts director, this is due to his attention to detail, communication skills and ability to solve problems, along with being able to lead a team to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.

Kyle oversees our passive fire department and internal refurbishment projects.

Outside of the office Kyle enjoys the gym, fishing, spending time with family and friends and more fishing!

Daniel Fegan

Senior Contracts Manager

Daniel has been with CDM since 2020. He joined with the vision to open up an insurance department.

He started on the tools when he was 16 and has progressed through the ranks to his current role overseeing the insurance department.

Daniels communication/ proactivity/Hard-work and determination are paramount to CDMs success in the insurance game and is very proud of CDMs growing reputation in this field.

Daniel is now learning a new skill and is currently passing his 10 years insurance sector knowledge to two surveyors that have recently joined the CDM family and the future is very bright.

Away from work Daniel enjoys time with his family and pushes himself physically at the gym where he has completed for various charities a 100km run and 180 plus mile bike ride to name the most recent.

Rudy Davis

Insurance Surveyor

Rudy joined CDM as a Trainee Insurance Surveyor in June 2023. Prior to this role, he had a different professional background, but he had always demonstrated a keen interest in construction. When Rudy joined the company in June, he had limited construction knowledge, but he quickly developed a strong passion for learning about various facets of the business and the construction industry as a whole.

Notably, he achieved his Site Manager certification (SMSTS) through a 5-week course. Throughout his project assignments, Rudy consistently exhibits excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective time management to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget. Rudy’s responsibilities primarily lie within our Insurance department, where he manages one of our major clients in the insurance sector.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Rudy enjoys watching Portsmouth FC play and cherishes quality time with friends and family outside of the office.

Luke Ward

Contracts Supervisor

In 2015, Luke became a part of CDM as a multi-tradesman. After a year of dedicated effort, including overtime and the attainment of recognized accomplishments, he earned a promotion to the position of site manager.

As a site manager, Luke capably oversaw a range of projects, including Coop refurbishments and substantial commercial dilapidations.

Five years later, he reached the position of Contracts Supervisor. At present, Luke offers valuable support and assistance to the Contracts Director. His primary focus revolves around passive fire protection, where he continually enhances his understanding and stays updated with the latest rules and regulations in the sector. His objective is to ensure that all work conducted within the team adheres to the highest professional standards.

Luke enjoys outside activities, adventures, road trips, paddleboarding , the beach and all types of fishing.

Robert Russell

Passive Fire Surveyor

“Uncle” Rob joined CDM in 2017 as a carpenter/joiner. He has over 40 years carpentry experience from traditional timber boat building to industrial door manufacture and installation to kitchen fitting, always working to very high standards.

Since being with CDM he has gained further knowledge and expertise within Passive Fire Protection, gaining certification in fire door installation & maintenance and fire compartmentation. He is always willing to help out and offer advice to his fellow colleagues.

Outside of work he enjoys family time, music, art and cycling.

Robert Smart

Electrical Director

Rob initiated our Electrical & Fire division in April 2023.

Rob concluded his secondary school education in the summer of 2008 and promptly embarked on an electrical apprenticeship. His apprenticeship journey culminated at Chichester College in May 2012. Accumulating 15 years of valuable industry experience, Rob felt the time was right to embrace a new challenge by assuming the role of electrical director, taking charge of the newly established division within the well-regarded CDM Group.

Rob has always held a deep passion for fire protection, consistently working with fire alarm systems throughout his career. Given that CDM already provides passive fire protection services to their clients, Rob decided to take the next step in advancing his expertise and enrolled in a level 6 course focused on FD&A (Fire Detection & Alarm) systems.

Outside of work life, Rob enjoys family days out, going to the gym and playing golf.

Wayne Burns

Senior Contracts Manager

Wayne Burns is the driving force behind our projects at CDM Contractors Ltd, serving as the Senior Contracts Manager.

Wayne brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role, having joined our company in 2016.

With a history of excellence in the construction and contracting industry, Wayne has consistently demonstrated his commitment to delivering high-quality results on every project he undertakes.

As the Senior Contracts Manager, Wayne plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects.

Beyond the workplace, Wayne is a devoted father to his three children.

He approaches both his professional and personal life with the same level of commitment and care, making him not only a respected colleague but also a cherished family man.

Christopher McCance

Site Manager

Christopher McCance has dedicated approximately 14 to 15 years of service to our company, initially starting as a painting subcontractor. Over time, we recognized his potential and made the decision to offer him a permanent position with the goal of nurturing his growth within the company.

Through training and support, Christopher has evolved into a multi-faceted professional, taking on roles as a supervisor, Firas supervisor, and site manager. We are continually advancing his career within the organization.

Beyond his professional life, Christopher has a range of hobbies, including his past involvement in boxing, a strong commitment to fitness, and a passion for enduring challenging events. He holds a deep affection for his family and exhibits great dedication to our company.

Chloe Legg

Co-Founder and Owner

Chloe Legg, a distinguished director and co-founder of CDM Contractors Group Ltd.

Chloe has been an integral part of the company since its establishment in 2008, standing alongside her husband Mark Legg in shaping the organization’s success.

Juggling both her professional responsibilities and the nurturing of their four children, Chloe’s unwavering commitment to do whatever is required to support the business needs has been instrumental in the company’s growth.

With her comprehensive understanding of the business’s various facets, Chloe provides invaluable leadership support contributing significantly to the company’s continued advancement.

Complementing her dedication to the company, Chloe shares Mark’s enthusiasm for fitness, often spotted in the gym or out running, and actively participates in endurance challenges, amplifying their collective efforts to raise substantial funds for local charitable causes.

Sharla Legg

Contracts Administrator

Sharla joined CDM in 2016 as part of the admin team and over the years has gained knowledge in various areas. Her main role is overseeing the purchasing of materials to help with the smooth running of all projects as well as dealing with project related admin on a daily basis.

Sharla also assists in the completion of certification within the passive fire department. As well as working with the accounts team, and gaining knowledge along the way.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking, spending time with friends and family and loves to dance.

Shearon Scott

HSQE Manager

Shearon joined CDM in 2013 starting out assisting our financial director.

As CDM grew shearon grew with the company picking up numerous job roles along the way.

Shearon deals with the every day purchasing for the business along side sharla aswell as managing our company fleet and internal H&S.

Shearon gained her IOSH Qualification boosting her knowledge and confidence in the managing health and safety area.

The company compliance is managed by Shearon and she’s successfully gained our H&S accreditations for many years now, this now includes keeping us inline with ISO 9001 and 45001 Standards which has been successfully renewed once again keeping CDM compliant.

Outside of work Shearon spends all her time with her family spending as much time with her husband and children as possible and is a very dedicated dance mum so quite often her Sundays are taken up attending national dance competitions with her only daughter.
